St Vincent de Paul Society will be distributing uniforms to St. James Parish students in Head Start to 8th grade.

Due to a power outage at Gramercy Elementary School, summer school at the GES location only will be canceled for today, Monday, June 24, 2024. Power restoration should be later today, and we anticipate reopening tomorrow, Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

Starting in summer 2024, Louisiana SUN Bucks, also referred to as Summer EBT, will provide families with $120 for each eligible school-aged child to buy groceries during the summer break.

St. James Parish Schools fishing teams are growing and continuing to provide new and exciting opportunities to our students and our community.

The St. James Parish School System has decided not to roll forward with local millage rates for the 2024 tax year. St. James Parish properties were reassessed for the 2024 tax year, adjusting the maximum millage rate of a previous 44.83 to a new 44.78.

On Thursday, August 8, 2024, and Friday, August 9, 2024, all Kindergarten - 8th grade students will enter school according to a staggered entrance schedule.

Yesterday, our MACE center received an Exemplary status from the Louisiana Department of Education, ending the 2023-2024 school year! This is a HUGE accomplishment for our MACE Center, the director and all of the faculty and staff.
